Patrick Thomas doodles on people for a living. His tattoo style leans towards Black and Gray‍ and ‍Illustrative Blackwork, with the kind of details you only notice when you slow down: the grain in a piece of weathered granite, the way a river moves around something that won't move, the specific shape of a place that took two days to reach on foot.
When he's not in the shop he's usually outside doing something uncomfortable on purpose. Climbing, snowboarding, bikepacking, riding his Harley into the mountains.
The tattoos reflect where he's been.

Lindsey’s tattoo style leans toward intricate Stipple and bold American Traditional, though she takes on custom work across a wide range of styles.
Outside the shop she's out in the mountains, enjoying Bozeman where she was born and raised. Lindsey is a lover of all things spooky; horror classics, ghost stories, the Scooby Doo gang solving another haunted house mystery. She doesn't discriminate on the scare scale as long as the vibe is right.
The stipple work and the spooky sensibility go together more than you'd think.

Halle enjoys tattooing Black and Gray, Surrealism, and Stylized Realism. Think dreamlike and fantastical with precision. She's happy to take on custom work across other tattoo styles as well.
She grew up in Bozeman and is doing exactly what she's always been working toward…making art, right in her own backyard. Creativity runs through everything she does: her drawings, her style, her music. Tattooing is where it all comes together.

Zane's path to tattooing took the scenic route. He grew up in Portland, studied architecture in college, spent a few years in construction, and eventually came to the reasonable conclusion that he needed to be doing something else.
Zane’s favorite tattoo style gravitates toward dark illustrative and anything with a creepy edge. This tracks, given that his off-hours are spent reading horror manga.
Zane started his apprenticeship at Skull n Co in October 2025. He's working toward taking appointments and getting to draw on people for real. It's going well.

SKULL N CO is a tattoo shop. The main art form here is tattooing, and that's what most people come in for. Patrick Thomas and the crew will draw on you permanently, and they're very good at it.

The "CO" part is where it gets more specific. Patrick started SKULL N CO with the belief that artists deserve better. A lot of creative work ends up displayed in spaces where the venue takes a percentage when something sells. That never sat right with him.

So SKULL N CO operates differently. The shop doubles as a genuine art space with paintings from local artists, handmade jewelry and hats, and other work from makers in the Bozeman community share the space with the tattoo artists. When something sells, every dollar goes directly to the artist who made it. No commission. No percentage.

Some of the work comes from clients. Some from friends. Some from local artists who needed somewhere that would treat their work the way it deserves to be treated. The "CO" is all of us. The tattoo artists, the painters, the makers, the chefs, the outdoor community that feeds the creative one. Patrick calls it an art collective because that's genuinely what he's building, one piece at a time.

It's a tattoo shop. It's also something a little bigger than that.
